Great Wall at Jinshanling One-Day Hiking Tour
Jinshanling Great Wall (金山岭长城) is located about 130 km in the northeast of the downtown Beijing. To its east stands, the Simatai Great Wall and the west stand Gubeikou Great Wall. Jinshanling Great Wall was named after the mountain called Jinshan Mountains. The Jinshanling Great Wall was first constructed built in the Ming Dynasty. The famous general, Xu Da, of the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) supervised and directed the construction of the Great Wall. Later, Qi Jiguang led a number of defense works while guarding the north area in 1567.
This section has the total length of 11 kilometers. The Wall is about seven to eight meters in height and five to six meters width. The wall is made of brick and stone. The Jinshanling Great Wall is 700 meters above the sea level. You can see Beijing from the highest place on the Jinshanling Great Wall.
All the towers on Jinshanling Great Wall were constructed firmly and beautifully. Each tower has its unique feature and look. There are relatively less crowded here at Jinshanling Great Wall, and it is a nice place to explore the Great Wall around Beijing.
The hike from the east Jinshanling Great Wall to the west Simatai Jinshanling Great Wall MapGreatWall is the most challenging, favored by Great Wall hikers. The cross hike from Jinshanling to Simatai Great Wall is still not allowed ( mainly due to the closure of Simatai West Section ).

The tour guide and driver will pick up the guests around 7:00 in the morning, then after 2 hours, arriving at the Jinshan Ling Great Wall.We will visit the west of magnificent Jinshan Ling Great Wall hiking to the Simatai.
